3M Undersink Water Filtration or for Standalone Ice Machines

3M AP Easy Complete is a compact under-sink carbon-block drinking-water filter for reducing sediment, chlorine taste and odour, lead, cysts and selected other contaminants. It supplies up to 0.75 GPM and uses a replaceable C-Complete cartridge. Yacht-Mate offers configurations with or without a faucet.

Filtered drinking water at the galley

The 3M AP Easy Complete is the model supplied under this Yacht-Mate under-sink and standalone ice-machine listing. It treats water at the point of use for drinking and food preparation. A slim filter assembly and sanitary cartridge design make it practical where galley cupboard space and maintenance access matter.

What the filter does

A dual-stage carbon-block process reduces particulate, chlorine taste and odour and the specific contaminants listed in its performance documentation. These include lead, mercury, asbestos, parasitic protozoan cysts and selected organic compounds. Use the performance sheet for the individual reduction claims. This is not a blanket claim that every contaminant is removed or that an unsafe supply becomes drinking water.

Installation and cartridge care

Choose the faucet configuration to suit the outlet being served. For an ice-machine installation, confirm the appliance’s inlet flow, pressure and connection requirements before ordering. The C-Complete cartridge twists out for service without opening a reusable filter housing. Replace it at six months or sooner as directed by the supplied instructions. Keep the unit on a cold-water supply and protect it from freezing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use 3M AP Easy Complete for my standalone ice machine?

Yacht-Mate lists that application. Match the machine’s required inlet flow to the filter’s 0.75 GPM service flow, and confirm the connection and selected faucet-free configuration. Do not assume compatibility with every ice machine.

Do I need a separate faucet with 3M AP Easy Complete?

Choose the configuration for the intended outlet. Yacht-Mate offers versions with or without a faucet. A dedicated drinking-water outlet uses the faucet configuration; equipment supply needs the appropriate direct plumbing connection.

Which replacement filter should I buy for 3M AP Easy Complete?

Use the AP Easy C-Complete cartridge specified for this system. Confirm the cartridge label before ordering. The similarly named AP Easy system range includes different filtration products.

Why has the flow from my 3M AP Easy Complete slowed down?

A cartridge approaching its service interval is a reason to check the filter. The manufacturer calls for replacement every six months or sooner. Check the supply as well, and follow the installation instructions instead of relying only on elapsed time.

Does 3M AP Easy Complete remove lead as well as chlorine taste?

Yes, its product documentation includes lead reduction as well as chlorine taste and odour reduction. Performance applies to the specified system and cartridge under the stated test conditions; it does not mean all contaminants are removed.
