Blue Water Desalination ClearMate is a fixed freshwater reverse-osmosis system for low-TDS yacht washdown and spot-free rinsing. It accepts dock water or freshwater from an existing watermaker. ClearMate 1000, 2000 and 2800 offer rated output from 42 to 117 gallons per hour.

Freshwater RO for yacht rinsing

ClearMate further treats freshwater before it is used for yacht washdown. It reduces dissolved solids that can leave deposits as rinse water dries. The manufacturer specifies removal of up to 99% of remaining dissolved solids. It accepts dock water or product water from an existing seawater RO system.

Choose the rated output for the task

The three models are ClearMate 1000, 2000 and 2800. Compare the manufacturer’s hourly production ratings with the planned rinse-water requirement and available production time. Use rated output for model comparison; it is not a guarantee that a particular installation will fill a tank within a calculated time.

Fixed and modular installation

Components can be separated for installation in the vessel’s available space. The assembly includes a stainless steel vane pump and a 12-gauge 316 stainless steel tank. Use the fixed ClearMate arrangement drawings for the selected model. The portable ClearMate Mobile is a separate system with different drawings.

Controls and service preparation

The digital LCD controller displays water quality, faults and operating hours. Quiet operation and low power consumption are listed features. Identify the installed model and prefilter assembly before ordering parts; use the manufacturer documentation and equipment identification for replacements.

Can ClearMate take raw seawater directly from a seawater intake?

No. ClearMate is specified for dock freshwater or freshwater produced by an existing seawater RO system. It provides further treatment for rinsing rather than replacing seawater desalination.

Can I assume a ClearMate 2800 upgrade will need no electrical changes?

No. Although the manufacturer lists the same running current across the three models, an installer must confirm the actual electrical arrangement. Running-current figures alone do not establish circuit suitability for a replacement.

Which prefilters should I order for fixed ClearMate rather than ClearMate Mobile?

The fixed ClearMate brochure identifies C102410 carbon and C103202 5-micron elements. Match those references to the installed assembly and revision before ordering; do not substitute parts based only on the Mobile product name.
