Frequently asked questions about Yacht-Mate Remineralizer

Where is the Yacht-Mate Remineralizer normally installed?

It is intended for the treated-water side of a compatible filtration system, commonly after reverse osmosis where remineralization is required.

What sizes are available?

Yacht-Mate lists Standard 2.5 x 10 inch and Big Blue 4.5 x 10 inch versions.

Does a remineralizer replace a sediment or carbon filter?

No. It performs a different treatment function and should be installed only in the position specified for the water-treatment system.

Will it fit any 10 inch housing?

Confirm both diameter and housing configuration. Standard and Big Blue cartridges are different sizes.

How often should the remineralizer be replaced?

Replacement depends on water consumption, media depletion and the system service schedule. Inspect performance and follow the installed system maintenance plan.
