Models, Capacity & Selection

General Pump also supplies Series 100 oil in larger package sizes. Compatibility and oil quantity vary by pump, so the installed pump data sheet or service manual should be checked before an oil change.

Why This Matters Onboard

Keeping the correct pump oil onboard allows engineers to service compatible General Pump equipment without substituting an unknown lubricant. This is especially useful for yachts operating away from regular parts supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which General Pump series are specified to use this Series 100 oil?

General Pump specifies Series 100 oil for its 44, 47, 49, 50, 51 and 57 series pumps. Check the installed pump’s series rather than choosing solely from the watermaker brand.

Is Series 100 still the right oil if my General Pump runs continuously?

General Pump asks owners of continuously operated pumps, pumps exceeding normal ratings, or other pump series to obtain alternate lubrication guidance. Confirm the lubricant for that duty before using the standard Series 100 recommendation.

Is this 16 oz bottle the same package as General Pump 100552?

No. General Pump identifies 100295 as the 16 oz Series 100 bottle and 100552 as a 2.5-gallon Series 100 package. Choose the package quantity separately from verifying the lubricant required by your pump.
