Frequently Asked Questions About Big Blue Filter Housing Wrench

Which filter housings does this Big Blue wrench fit?

It is intended for the Big Blue filter-housing format stated in the Yacht-Mate product information.

Do I need to depressurise the housing before using the wrench?

Yes. Follow the filter-housing manufacturer’s isolation and depressurisation procedure before opening a housing for service.

Is a standard filter wrench the same as a Big Blue wrench?

No. The housing diameters and wrench profiles differ, so use the wrench specified for the housing installed onboard.

What should I check before ordering a filter-housing wrench?

Identify the housing format and, where available, its manufacturer or wrench reference. Cartridge length alone does not identify the correct wrench.
