FAQ's

What is an onboard drinking water system?

An onboard drinking water system is a filtration, purification, or treatment unit ensuring water at the galley tap is clean, safe, and great tasting — treating water from tanks, dock connections, or a watermaker before it reaches crew and guests for drinking, cooking, and bathing.

Yes. Watermaker output is clean but can pick up contamination from tanks, pipework, and biofilm between production and the tap. An undersink filter or UV sterilizer at the point of use provides the final barrier before consumption.

Whole boat filtration treats all water entering the vessel at a single point — protecting tanks, plumbing, and every outlet. Under sink filtration treats water at the galley tap only — ideal for improving drinking water quality without a full system installation.

RO and watermaker systems remove virtually all dissolved minerals — including beneficial ones. A remineralizer such as the Revive Water system restores calcium, magnesium, and trace minerals to purified water, improving taste and nutritional quality at the tap.

Yes. The Chiller Daddy undersink chiller delivers chilled water on demand directly from the galley tap — no refrigerator or ice required. Available in 110V and 220V, suited to vessels cruising in South Florida and the Caribbean.
