This automatic water softener combines a cabinet layout with accessible controls and salt storage. The Clack cabinet accepts WS1 or WS1.25 control valves, with a sliding salt-fill cover and a separate flip-up window for programming. It is a practical option when you want the softener arranged in a cabinet that remains accessible for routine attention.

The listed capacity range is 1 to 1.5 cu. ft. Select the complete configuration with Yacht-Mate before ordering. For a yacht installation, provide your freshwater demand, incoming hardness and available installation space so the system can be matched to the application. Custom systems are available on request.

Salt refilling and service access

The sliding cover exposes a wide, tapered chute for adding salt without lifting off the whole lid. The programming window gives access to the valve controls, while the brine valve and brine well can be reached for servicing without dismantling the complete unit. Keep these access points clear when planning the installation.

Automatic regeneration controls

The listed control features include a front-panel microprocessor and three operating modes: immediate regeneration triggered by the meter, delayed regeneration triggered by the meter, or delayed time-clock operation. The double-backwash function forms part of the regeneration sequence. Up to 36 pre-programmed regeneration cycles and a 1 to 28 day override are available according to the control-valve setting. System configuration and operating data are stored in nonvolatile memory.

Regeneration settings must match the fitted valve and complete softener configuration. Agree the salt dose and regeneration programme when the system is specified; the cabinet capacity alone does not establish how many gallons it will soften between regenerations.

Can this cabinet use a WS1.25 valve if my installation needs that configuration?

Yes. The Clack cabinet accepts both WS1 and WS1.25 control valve models. Specify the required valve and connection kit with your order; cabinet compatibility does not mean that both valves or every fitting are included.

Can I refill the salt when there is limited access above the cabinet?

Salt is added through the tapered chute beneath the sliding top cover, so the complete cover does not have to be removed for refilling. Allow room to open the cover and pour salt into the chute when choosing the installation position.

Will servicing the brine valve require dismantling the whole softener?

The cabinet provides direct access to its brine valve and brine well for servicing without disassembling the complete system. Valve programming is also accessible through a separate flip-up window.

Can I set regeneration for a delayed cycle instead of having it start as soon as the meter triggers it?

The listed controls support meter-delayed and time-clock-delayed operation as well as meter-immediate operation. Select the appropriate mode and programme for the fitted controller during commissioning.

Does the 1 to 1.5 cu. ft. range tell me how many gallons my yacht can use between regenerations?

No. It is the listed configuration capacity, not a treated-water gallon allowance. Have Yacht-Mate specify the configuration and regeneration settings against your incoming hardness and freshwater demand before choosing the system.
