The Pentair/ Pentek ECP20 series comprises pleated sediment filter cartridges designed to effectively reduce sand, dirt, silt, rust, and scale particles from water supplies. These filters are particularly suitable for residential and commercial applications where high flow rates and substantial dirt-holding capacity are essential.

Key Features:

• High Dirt-Holding Capacity: Manufactured from a special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers, these filters offer enhanced wet strength compared to standard cellulose cartridges. This composition allows for greater dirt-holding capacity, reducing the frequency of filter replacements.

• Pleated Design: The pleated structure increases the surface area of the filter media, facilitating higher flow rates and efficient filtration. For instance, the standard 10-inch ECP cartridge contains six square feet of media, surpassing many competitors that offer only 4.5 square feet.

• Low Pressure Drop: Despite their high dirt-holding capacity, these filters maintain an extremely low pressure drop, ensuring consistent water flow and reducing strain on the filtration system.

• Durable Construction: The filter media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength, and the ends are sealed with a thermo-setting vinyl plastisol, creating a unified end cap and gasket. This robust construction enhances the filter’s durability and performance.
